The Management Console features a modern, easy to use, web browser-based user interface which is designed to manage multiple installations of widely distributed NovaBACKUP clients (including Remote Workforce clients) in a LAN or through the internet.
Description
The remote management of NovaBACKUP clients essentially works the say way as is done using the NovaBACKUP user interface. A Dashboard provides the most important figures to get an immediate status of all connected NovaBACKUP installations and wizards help to create, delete, modify, and schedule backup-jobs. It's possible to "drill down" into the file system of a single NovaBACKUP to select specific files and folders as well as selecting SQL, Exchange and VMware Virtual machines.
Backup policies can be applied to a single NovaBACKUP client, or a group of them. This way it's very easy to deploy policies to any number of NovaBACKUP clients. This is very useful if whole companies are managed and require the same individual policies.
Reports, such as the total amount of failed backups (if any), or how many failures have occurred over a period of time for a specific NovaBACKUP client or group of NovaBACKUP’s, are available.

Connection to SQL server for the database is needed. To ensure stability, the system should run no unrelated applications or service, such as Exchange, FTP or other databases than the NovaBACKUP Remote Workforce database, or anything else that is not necessary for the Storage Server and other Remote Workforce services to function.

Pentium 4 or better, 512 MB of RAM minimum, 3 GB free hard drive available space on system drive. Web Server (IIS or built in web server), Microsoft SQL (or bundled SQLite), Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher, TCP/IP network, .NET 3.5 SP1, .NET 4, Windows PowerShell 1.0.
Remote Client Installations
Pentium 4 or better, 1GB of RAM minimum, 3 GB free hard drive available space on system drive, plus storage space for backups, Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher, TCP/IP network. Full installation size is approximately 300 MB. Drive where the work folder is located for the software needs 2 times the free space of the largest file that is backed up.
